UAB/Birmingham Museum of Art Curatorial Fellowship Grants & Fellowships

Description

UAB/Birmingham Museum of Art Fellows are graduate students in the Art History department at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, who have already developed an area of concentration within their studies. The Fellowship gives students the opportunity to spend one year working in the Curatorial department at the Museum. It is designed to provide in-depth experience in the workings of a museum and in the nature of curatorial work. Fellows are assigned specific projects and duties based on the needs of the department and work directly with the Museum’s Curatorial staff. The UAB/BMA Curatorial Fellowship begins and ends in August of each year.

Colors 2025 Art Competition Competition

Description

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using a concentration of colors. One color or a multitude of colors meets the criteria for this competition. This is the 9th annual Colors art competition that gallery has held.

This is an international open (no theme) competition so any subject matter and any media are acceptable. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art and photography.

Choice of a cash prize or complimentary one-year membership to Fusion Art's Members Gallery for Best in Show winners. Winners and finalists are provided with extensive worldwide publicity and promotion.

Description

Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studos, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures.

Carolinas Rehab Art Gallery - 2nd Quarter Exhibition

Description

Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Every three months the gallery will be filled with new art, chosen by a committee. The artists chosen for each time period will be able to display 3 pieces of art. They are looking for art that creates a positive and welcome distraction for their patients and visitors.

This is a busy lobby and connects to their flagship hospital. The campus is 4 million square feet. This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent while gaining tremendous exposure. Proposals for your submissions should inspire positive reflection with a focus on community; health, hope and healing.

Description

The Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery presents the juried exhibition “Uncanny.” When something has an unordinary or eerie quality, it may be referred to as “uncanny.” Something that evokes a strange and unexplainable aura makes the viewers question reality. When something feels “uncanny” it may resonate as an indescribable experience. They are inviting artists to submit their own artwork that represents an unnatural or otherworldly essence. This exhibition will be on display from June 04 – 25, 2025. The IU Kokomo Art Gallery is located on the Indiana University Kokomo campus. The gallery displays artwork by students, faculty, alumni as well as local, regional and national artists.

The Pence Gallery announces that its Emerging Artist Award 2025 is now open. This award supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit and an artist talk in January to February 2026. Artists must use the award of $4000 to further their work in a significant direction and may work in any medium, except for video or sound art. The deadline is 4/4/25 by 9 PM PST.

The 18th Annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition invites African American fiber artists across the nation to explore the theme "In Praise of the Ancestors." Curated by Torreah “Cookie” Washington, the exhibition is a component of the 2025 North Charleston Arts Fest. Artists may submit up to four entries, with amxmmof two selected per artist. Progress photos are acceptable at submission, with completed works due by April 7 if selected

A major prize of $5,000 is on offer to the overall winner, with an Elected Members Choice Award of $500 to be awarded to the finalist selected by the City of Unley’s Elected Members. The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers. The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities. Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

The LUX Center for the Arts, Lincoln's community art center located in Lincoln, NE, is looking for artists to present exhibition applications for the fiscal year beginning in summer of 2025.

Each year the LUX opens up the opportunity for artists to submit exhibition proposals for review. A group of selected jurors from the staff, committee and community, will review all applications and proposals.

Selected artists will be contacted to discuss timing and details of their potential inclusion. Artists may be selected to show their work as an individual artist, or may be contacted to show their work in a group show with other selected artists.

Description

The Big Gay Art Show is a juried art show that exhibits and sells artwork in support of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The Big Gay Art Show is a much anticipated, well attended exhibition open to all artists in any medium and of any level. In 2012, the Big Gay Art Show was conceptualized by a small group – some connected to SAC and others in the Sedona Pride organization. The event began as an effort to offer the LGBTQ+ community a voice in the local art scene. Since that first show, SAC has welcomed hundreds of emerging and professional artists to Sedona to share their work throughout the history of the event. All art mediums will be accepted.
